Function :

1. Acute non-lymphocytic leukemia: first-line treatment of adult acute non-lymphocytic leukemia and treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory acute non-lymphocytic leukemia who cannot receive idabicin intravenously. Idabicin hydrochloride capsule can be combined with other cytotoxic drugs in chemotherapy regimen. 2. Advanced breast cancer: Idabicin hydrochloride capsules may be used for advanced breast cancer that has failed first-line chemotherapy without anthracyclines or hormone therapy. Idabicin hydrochloride capsule can be used in combination with other anticancer drugs.

Acute non-lymphocytic leukemia (ANLL) :

In adult aml, the recommended dose in combination with cytarabine is 12mg/m[sup]2[/sup] intravenously per day for 3 days, or 8mg/m[sup]2[/sup] intravenously per day for 5 days, for both alone and in combination.

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) :

The recommended dose for adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia as a single agent is 12mg/m[sup]2[/sup] intravenously per day for 3 consecutive days. Children 10mg/m[sup]2[/sup] for three consecutive days.However, all dosing regiments should be adjusted to take into account the patient's blood picture and the dose of other cytotoxic agents administered during the combination. Dose is usually calculated by body surface area.

This product is for intravenous injection only

It is recommended that after checking that the needle is indeed in the vein, dissolved idabidin is injected into the vein in 5-10 minutes with normal saline through an open infusion line. This reduces the risk of thrombosis and severe cellulitis and necrosis caused by drug extravasation. Small vein injection or repeated injection in the same vein may cause venous sclerosis.
